Triangle Gallery

The Triangle Gallery, founded in 2015 by Nadia Stepanova, presents young promising authors and artists of average careers. The exhibition program includes a wide range of genres and types of art, from painting and drawing to photography, video and street art, including cross-disciplinary projects. The gallery acts as a platform specializing in finding and promoting new names both in Russia and on the international contemporary art scene. 

During the first five years of its work, the most significant for the gallery has been its constant cooperation with such artists as Valery Chtak (6 exhibitions) and Kirill Who (4 exhibitions), with which the cooperation is still ongoing. After more than ten years as one of the most successful Russian street artists, the first exhibition of Kirill Who's paintings was held in the gallery in March 2016. 

Also for today the gallery actively cooperates with Kirill Makarov e Evgeny Dedov, young artists from St. Petersburg, who also have already confirmed themselves as the most promising among the authors working in the technique of painting. Last year Kirill Makarov's work was included in the prestigious collection of Credit Suisse Bank.

Among the new artists included in the gallery's program is a young artist from Ekaterinburg, working under the pseudonym Krasil Makarov. His exhibition was interrupted due to the current situation with Covid19. This is a very original project, which combines the traditions of Russian applied art and the principles of Russian avant-garde of the early 20th century, which the artist projected into our modern reality.

Among the artists working with photography, it is worth noting Danila Tkachenko, whose exhibition was held in the gallery in late 2019. This artist is already well known in Russia, including his project "Motherland", which caused a wide and ambiguous resonance a few years ago, and abroad, thanks to his numerous solo exhibitions in different countries.

In autumn the gallery plans to start cooperation with Fyodor Savintsev, another very interesting and promising artist working with photography. In September his works will be presented at our stand at Cosmoscow, along with paintings by Kirill Makarov and Krasil Makar.

One of the areas to which the gallery plans to pay more attention in the future is cooperation with foreign young and interesting authors. I was interested in this aspect from the very beginning, but the specifics of transport and customs of works of art and visa regime for foreign artists still make it difficult to fully implement this direction. Nevertheless, small steps were already taken during the exhibition of the artist from Berlin Nebojsa Despotovic in 2017.

Another important aspect of the gallery's activity is participation in contemporary art fairs. For more than five years of its existence, the Triangle Gallery has presented its artists every year at fairs both in Russia (Cosmoscow, Da!Moscow) and abroad (Vienna, Barcelona, Berlin and Mexico City).

We are located on the territory of the Moscow art-cluster Winery and are open for visitors from Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 to 20:00. On Sundays, holidays and vacation days - by prior arrangement.
