The regular WIN-WIN market is an art event wh ere aspiring and established artists, galleries, creative associations and independent publishers meet for an open dialogue and the sale of works without intermediaries at affordable prices.
"The difference between this market and others is the increase in the number of new names and the choice of more conceptual authors. This time there was more painting and a lot more new, very fresh participants. The visual component of the market itself has improved: we specifically positioned the artists so that visitors would not get tired of the visual noise and would not be distracted fr om the art itself. The market has become more stylish. We have refined the categories and balanced the mediums in the main section as much as possible. Such changes have caused a very positive response. There were those who sold everything they brought on the very first day. They also bought expensive works. For example, large canvases that cost fr om 200,000 rubles," said Ekaterina Savina, curator of the WIN—WIN market.
At the autumn market, the FOCUS section was dedicated to the Textile direction. The curator of the section, Evgeny Shutko, founder of the Atelier Choutko gallery, a collector of handmade tapestries and carpets, as well as paintings, graphics and sculptures in tune with them, shared: "According to the feedback from the participants and visitors, everyone liked everything. We are glad to receive such a positive response. If we talk about sales, the most sought-after items from good authors for little money. Traditionally, people who come to WIN-WIN understand that you can buy valuable things with good potential here inexpensively. As a curator, I tried to fill the space with expensive objects to show how it happens. The visitors are very grateful and happy that such a cool Focus TEXTILE section has turned out. Textiles in general cannot be as cheap as, say, graphics or printed works. Therefore, sales are excellent for this level. Some authors have almost completely sold out."
Especially for the autumn market, artist Dina Borovik, a resident of the 11th season of the Winery's Open Studios, created the "Cloud" object — an attempt to convey a sense of weightlessness and ephemerality in an everyday environment. The mesh and tulle helped recreate the clouds, or rather, their visual perception and lightness, which are difficult to express through physical materials. The rich blue color, neon and backlight added a glow that enhances the feeling of weightlessness. The contrast between the softness of the materials and the brightness of the light emphasized their illusory appearance and going beyond the usual. In the industrial space, the "Cloud" has become an accent, as if from another dimension.
The WIN-WIN autumn market had its own Wincoin currency. Visitors received it by buying art and exchanged it for discounts from the online store Anchor MPA, from the coffee shop Drozdov coffee, to the children's workshops of the CSI Vinzavod and the quest "Stop the painter!", and could also participate in the lottery from the LCLS store.
During the days of the market, the children's area was very popular, wh ere children played board games, exchanged works at the Young Collector stand and participated in master classes led by contemporary artists and creative associations. Over two days, more than 150 children visited the corner, wh ere they created their first works of contemporary art.
The space for relaxation and a pause between art purchases was organized by ODINGENIY Studio, a partner of the market. The lounge area emphasized the atmosphere of the market as a gathering point for independent and emerging art and complemented the overall stylization of the market with an outstanding abstract installation.
