Evening of Vernissages, January 20th

20 January 2026
On January 20, an Evening of Vernissages was held at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art. The new exhibition season was opened by 8 resident galleries.

11.12 gallery hosted the opening of the collective exhibition "Laughter / Sin" by Sonya Kobozeva, Kirill Manchunsky, Sergei Ovseikinov, Marina Pchelyakova and Ivan Volkov, in which each artist tells ironic, curious and edifying stories in the spirit of Boccaccio's peculiar "Decameron".
The exhibition will run until February 28.

The a—s—t—r—a Gallery presented the eighth part of the annual a—s—t—r—a OPEN project, curated by Sergey Dorokhov. The exhibition includes works by 42 artists. The project continues the gallery's main line of activity — discovering new names, experimenting and testing hypotheses.
The exhibition will run until February 27.

HSE ART Gallery presented the group exhibition "New Gothic", dedicated to understanding the "dark" sensitivity in contemporary art and visual culture. "Gothic" is understood as a critical optics that allows us to talk about physicality, anxiety, death and affect. The focus is on Russian contemporary art of the 2020s.
The exhibition will run until February 24.

FUTURO Gallery has opened a solo exhibition "DOLL'S DREAM / ON THE SHOULDERS OF BLIND GIANTS" by Alexey Gromov, curated by Ilya Kronchev-Ivanov. The exhibition features a large-scale multimedia installation and objects imitating exhibition spaces. Here, a thought experiment unfolds that drives institutional criticism to the point of absurdity: the artist is a doll, and the galleries are dollhouses. In this way, the author creates a double of the reality of the modern institutional artistic process.
The exhibition will run until February 26.

The Triangle Gallery hosted the opening of the collective exhibition "Morphology of the Spirit" by Alexander Pogorzhelsky, Dmitry Okruzhnov and Maria Sharova, Nikolai Koshelev, Jingge Dong, and Yirui Fan. Artists turn to abstraction, using figurative images and form their own "overreality", exploring the facets of consciousness.
The exhibition will run until February 27.

Totibadze Gallery has opened the exhibition "Still Lifes with inscriptions" by the artist Alexander Florensky. The works are exhibited for the first time and represent a "palette of objects" that were carefully selected by the artist for his personal collection: fr om those found by chance to those bought at flea markets and antique shops.
The exhibition will run until March 1.

FINEART Gallery presented the group project "Signs of Time", an exploration of the modern world through the shape of a circle. The circle is like an analysis of infinity and time, which are filled with symbolic signs. As if looking through a telescope or a porthole, artists rethink modernity, form and think about the meaning of the sign, forbidding, permitting, conveying mystery and hidden meaning.
The exhibition will run until March 1.

The BIS ART gallery has opened a group exhibition "Arrows out of time". This is a reflection on dialogue, sincerity, and the future world of technology, wh ere time has become flexible and the warmth of human communication has not lost its value.
The exhibition will run until February 3.

Admission to the galleries is free, please check the opening hours on the galleries' website. all details and contacts are on the website https://winzavod.ru/

In the Open Studios, Anna Lapshinova presented the installation "Germination", a study of the fragility of a house in a changing world.
It will last until February 15th.

Admission to the Open Studios is free, every day except Mondays, 12:00-20:00.

The exhibitions "Shadow Theory" by George Cohen at the pop/off/art gallery, "Failures" by the Blue Soup group at the XL gallery, "Red and Black" by Egor Koshelev at VLADEY Space, "Inside Soft Gold" by Elena Anosova at the PENNLAB Gallery continue to work.

The project "Once upon a time. The Kingdom of the Russian Fairy Tale" has announced an extension. You can get acquainted with the fabulous archetypes and complete the magical route from Baba Yaga to Chernomor at the Large Wine Storage Center of the CCA Winzavod until February 28.
