Moskovskie Novosti has released a printed issue of the magazine, New Russian Seasons. For the new issue of the CCA Winzavod has prepared a special material about artists who work with Russian folklore, fairy tales and myths.
The authors of the magazine recall how the world (and Russia itself) once discovered Russian culture and how it is doing it again. In the center of the room, where the future and the present meet, Irina Saminskaya, project manager of the Winzavod Foundation, put together a print exhibition of contemporary artists "Postfolklor. Who writes fairy tales today?", which illustrates myth-making as an artistic device in art.
The first part of the magazine is the present (obverse), in which the reader will be able to get acquainted with the modern culture of the country: fr om the renaissance of Russian cuisine to traditional techniques in modern jewelry. The second is the past (reverse), which analyzes important cultural events: from the 100—year history of the Moscow News to the phenomenon of Peredvizhniki and Faberge.
The presentation of the issue took place on August 28 in the Vintage Hall of the CCA Winzavod. For the duration of the event, the space of the Vintage Hall turned into a mysterious birch forest, wh ere lullabies and romances were performed, as well as an improvisational concert at an alternative bell station and a theremin.
