1.5 meters - will be a memorial station in the coming years, which, no doubt, will generate many works with this number. In this round table, participants will raise the problem of the distance in various ways. Attention will also be paid to the hottest relevant projects where the distance has been reduced to a minimum or completely eliminated.
The twentieth century was characterized by the essential confrontation between modernism and the avant-garde. Modernism carefully built a distance in art; the avant-garde, on the contrary, was determined to overcome it. On the part of modernism, we received the so-called "white cube", on the part of the avant-garde - a direct direct action often ends in violence (over the author himself, the audience or works). Indeed, the removal of the distance had to eventually lead to the actualization of the violent act.
