Triangle Gallery is pleased to present "Space of Variations or Shining Chaos", the first solo exhibition by Andrey Yefimov (born in 1993, lives and works in Yaroslavl).

Opening on December 9, 2025. The exhibition will run until January 16, 2026.

The modern pace of life, the rapid development of technology and constant changes encourage me to turn to the eternal themes of nature, man and space, so in my works I develop my own version of a visual image for life in all its manifestations and without reference to place and time. Life appears to me as a collection of various forms and objects in a certain space — this is how I get abstract and fantastic self-sufficient worlds. With the help of these worlds, I hope to understand the deep logic of the development and organization of life and talk about what occupies my imagination: about the creative energy of nature, the diversity of flora and fauna; about the complexity of people and their various ways of life; about the various forms of organization of society; finally, about the infinite variability of possible extraterrestrial life.

In my works, I develop a special visual language — bright colors, diverse shapes, gradients, stars and dots — in order to create an inner intense life within each work. Special attention is paid to the composition to emphasize the degree of organization of this life — from chaos to complete harmony.

I would like these works to unite people due to their abstraction from a specific context, being a pure expression of life, development and movement, and also becoming a special visual experience for the viewer through an abstract narrative open to subjective interpretation.

It is important for me that these worlds maintain their autonomy and fantastically mysterious atmosphere, as well as “speak” their original language, so instead of words in the names, I use a set of Latin letters, numbers and symbols. They are at the same time a unique graphic, but abstract expression of each specific work, as well as a kind of cipher, coordinates or password, the meaning of which I leave open to the viewer.

Andrey Yefimov

Andrey Yefimov was born in 1993 in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region. He received his first education as a teacher of foreign languages. She has been painting independently since 2014, and has been actively participating in exhibitions since 2017. His works are in private collections in Russia, Belarus and Germany. He has participated in a number of exhibitions and fairs of contemporary art, including the Exploring Beauty project at Postrigay gallery / Cube.Moscow (2023), the exhibition "Two Zero Two Four" at the Arts Square Gallery (St. Petersburg, 2023), the project "Monsters, Games and Neural Networks" at Cube Moscow and Arts Square Gallery (Moscow, 2023), the contemporary art market WIN-WIN III, IV, V and VII at the CSI The winery (Moscow, 2022-2023), the exhibition "You will not be recognized" in the "New Wing" of the Gogol House (Moscow, 2022), etc.
