The new 12th season of the Open Studios Winzavod
Since March 12, the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art has been running Open Studios, where visitors can get acquainted with the participants of the 12th season. Among the artists are Pavel Grishin, Katya Zhilina, Alina Zolotikh, Karolina Roslyak, Polina Rukavichkina, Tamara Serdtseva, Varvara Silantieva, Lena Solovieva, Andrey Soul, and Maria Stadnik.
The mentor of the 12th season of Vinzavod Open Studios is Alexei Maslyaev.
The project is part of the New Names strategic direction aimed at professional support and development of artists. Open Studios combines a workshop, a residence and an art school, giving residents the opportunity to work with a mentor, receive consultations and participate in master classes and collective projects, and viewers the opportunity to follow the process of creating art.
The expert council of the 12th season included: Sofia Trotsenko, founder of the Central Exhibition Center Vinzavod; Andrey Parshikov, curator and mentor of the 1st-5th seasons of Open Studios; Polina Mogilina, art historian and leading curator of the Triumph Gallery, mentor of the 11th season of Open Studios; Ekaterina Lapshina, founder of the investment platform Era Capital, Ekaterina Lapshina, co-founder of the ART&BRUT gallery, director and curator of the gallery's exhibition activities, co-founder of BHD STUDIO, and teacher at the "Details" Higher School of Design.

About the mentor
Alexei Maslyaev is an independent curator and teacher. Head of the Scientific and Methodological Work Section of the Educational Department of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art MMOMA, curator of the Cosmoscow Foundation for the Support of Contemporary Art, mentor of the 7th-8th seasons of Winzavod Open Studios. Nominee of the State Prize in Contemporary Art "Innovation" in the categories "Curatorial Project" and "Regional Project"; nominee of the Sergey Kurekhin Prize in Contemporary Art in the category "Best Curatorial Project".
About the project
Winzavod Open Studios has been operating since 2017 and is part of Winzavod's New Names strategic direction. The project combines the principles of a workshop, residence and art school on the basis of one of Russia's leading art institutions, the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art. Open Studios residents work with a mentor, receive personal professional advice, and participate in collective projects, artist talks and master classes.
For artists selected by the expert council, participation in the project is an opportunity to take their first steps in the creative and commercial spheres under the guidance of experienced professionals. For viewers, Open Studios is an opportunity to observe the process of creating works of art. For collectors, Open Studios is a chance to get acquainted with future stars at the stage of their development.
