Mama, let’s talk?
Gallery FUTURE/FUTURO presents the personal project of the artist Alexandra Pavlovskaya “Mama, let’s talk?” at the CCA Winzavod in Moscow. Especially for the project, the artist created a large-scale installation with new metal works, and the exhibition will also feature the objects “On the Surface” – a kind of mirrors of memory, which are one of the central series in Pavlovskaya’s practice.
Mother and stepmother. Mom-daughter, green-ripe, was-wasn't, past-future - what has grown up: it's impossible to negotiate, correct, or brighten up with words. Moreover, the conversation itself is no longer possible, as the desire to talk is no longer related to the person it was initially addressed to or to the dialogue itself. Mom, let's talk. - rather, it's a story about how painful it can be to encounter someone else's confession, which we are only allowed to learn about in passing, but which we can accurately guess, making it first universal and then increasingly personal.
