The Winery Museum presents the group exhibition "Zapasniki" as part of the Winery Museum program.Experiment. The project brought together nine artists under the curatorship of Tatiana Osipova.

 The "Reserve Rooms" exhibition is a parallel program of the Zeleno-Molodo project at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art and focuses on theater artists working at the intersection of set design and contemporary art. During the Zeleno-Molodo project, the theater stage in the Green Hangar becomes a venue for performances, while the Excise Hall transforms into a "reserve room," a space for the invisible life of street theater.

In theatrical practice, the backstage is a place where sets, props, and fragments of performances that have already taken place or are yet to be performed are stored. In the context of an exhibition, this concept takes on a broader meaning. The "backstage" represents artistic practices that exist beyond the confines of the stage, including images and themes that have not found a place within the theater, as well as the space for autonomous expression that arises alongside it. For many set designers, working outside of the theater becomes a way to preserve their individuality, and in this sense, they become the "reserves" of theater art, carrying visual, spatial, and conceptual practices that exist in parallel to theater. Their work remains connected to set design, but it also transcends its boundaries, becoming independent artistic worlds and systems of reference.

The exhibition space is designed as a labyrinth-landscape, assembled fr om the sets of the plays that have been removed fr om the rental, fragments of scenography and art installations. The exhibition literally reproduces the atmosphere of the theatre’s storerooms – a space of storage, a dense environment wh ere the sets of different plays are placed side by side, interacting and evoking unpredictable visual and semantic associations. The objects are arranged into random mise-en-scène, forming new compositions and plots. The exhibition invites to reflect on the status of objects and installations that have been sent into storage and on wh ere the boundary between theatre and contemporary art lies.

The exhibition features artists with different backgrounds and backgrounds — graduates of the Winery's Open Studios and Workshops, artists with an international exhibition history, and those who are just entering the institutional field. Among the participants: Irina Korina, Alexander Shishkin-Hokusai, Olga Bozhko, Stepan Lysenko, Dina Borovik, Alina Brovina, Anna Grebennikova, Elizaveta Minaeva, Anna Agafonova, Olga Suslova.
