13th Season of Open Studios
An exhibition of the
13th season of Open Studios has been open at the CCA Winzavod since November 12.
Participants: Oksana Afanasyeva, Irina Zyushkina, Tim Illarionov, Artur Krivoshein, Alexander Krylov, Anna Lapshinova, Katya Nikitina, SAMUEL, Gosha Khomich, Arina Shabanova.
"
Open studios are a living organism, an artistic process in its purest form. The most valuable thing for me as a mentor of the new season is to become not only a witness, but also a direct participant in the inner transformation of artists, which you will be able to observe in the next six months. While accepting the multidisciplinary approach typical of all participants as a constant this season, I would like Open Studios to become a platform for new experiments and deep search for them, a point of growth that would allow them to further reveal their artistic individuality,"
Polina Mogilina, mentor of the 13th season of the Winery's Open Studios.
The winery's open studios are part of
New Names' strategic focus on professional support for artists. As a result of the competition, artists receive a six-month space for creativity and work, an up-to-date educational program and the opportunity to integrate into a professional environment.
The expert council includes:

About the project
The winery's open studios have been operating since 2017 and the New names of the Winery are included in the strategic direction. The project combines the principles of a workshop, a residence and an art school based on one of the leading Russian art institutions, the Vinzavod Center for Contemporary Art. Residents of Open Studios work with a mentor, receive personal professional advice, participate in collective projects, artist talks and master classes.
For the artists selected by the expert council, participation in the project is an opportunity to take the first steps in the creative and commercial fields under the guidance of experienced professionals. For the audience, Open Studios are an opportunity to observe the process of creating works of art. For collectors, Open Studios are a chance to get to know future stars even at the stage of their formation.
