Fr om April 3rd to 19th, Yandex Books will present the "100 Covers" exhibition—a satellite exhibition of the WIN-WIN New Artists Fair. This year, the renowned market at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art will take place from April 4th to 5th in a new fair format. The project will continue to support artists at an early stage of their careers. WIN-WIN was launched as a contemporary art market within the Art Market program and will be held for the twelfth time. Since its inception, the project has received over 600 applications for each open call, and over the years, the market has presented over 1,000 artists, creative communities, galleries, and associations, launching the careers of over 500 new artists. Starting in 2026, the project will receive a new status as a fair and will be called the WIN-WIN New Artists Fair.

As part of the fair, Yandex Books will present the "100 Covers" exhibition from April 3rd to 19th. Artists will examine contemporary bestsellers as future classics and create new covers for them: 100 designers, 100 perspectives on books, 100 stories. Over time, the cover has become an independent authorial statement, complementing and interpreting the literary content. The project emphasizes the value of an artistic and illustrative approach to books. The exhibition will present a special genre of "artist's book"—the livre d'artiste—an independent work of art, entirely designed by the author.

"It was important to us that each author find their own unique approach to the work. The main challenge was to harmoniously combine the book's central idea with the designer's unique style—to create a genuine, lively dialogue between the two. A variety of techniques were used: from collages of fabric scraps and pen drawings on notebook pages to 3D modeling and a knitted cardigan. As a result, each cover reveals a deeply personal story of experiencing the text. For example, when creating the appliqué for the book "Conscious Relationships," the designer used actual scraps of her own clothing. "In this project, design ceases to be simply decoration and becomes an independent, sincere statement that complements the reading experience," comments Genri Ivanov, Senior Designer at Yandex Books.

The first exhibition project, "100 Classic Covers by 100 Yandex Designers," dedicated to the covers of classic works, was held at the Triumph Gallery in April 2025. The exhibition combined covers designed by Yandex designers with works by contemporary artists, featuring works by young artists Maxim Savva, Misha Nikatin, Sofia Akimova, Liza Glushkova, and Anka Akhalaia. The images drew on both literary classics and contemporary visual media.
