The auction house "Litfond" is the leading platform in Russia in the field of bidding for art and collectibles, representing annually about 2000 items at more than 50 auctions.
The ArtLitfond project, located at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art, is designed to promote the development of modern art and today unites several hundred artists, art dealers and galleries representing the subjects of modern visual art at regular auction sales. The geography of the artists themselves participating in the project extends fr om Moscow and St. Petersburg to the regions of Siberia and the Far East, as well as the CIS countries and Europe.
Our main task is to search and present to the general public creative works that can enrich and expand the concept of “contemporary art” and enter the current and future cultural foundation of Russia. Therefore, among the authors participating in the auctions of the fine arts in the Literary Fund there are both accomplished masters and very young artists. We are proud to give such artists the opportunity to express themselves, despite their lack of sales history at auctions and exhibition experience, helping them to find their target audience, their admirers and buyers. We also set ourselves the task of popularizing the most interesting works of representatives of Soviet post-war art. The main criterion for participation in the auctions of the Literary Fund is the novelty of artistic views and the undoubted artistic value of the work offered for sale.
The absolutely innovative and already popular approach of our company is that all trades in painting, graphics and objects of decorative and applied art begin in the Litfund from 1 (one) ruble, demonstrating the real dynamics of prices for artists at the point wh ere demand and sentence. Such a market strategy makes it possible to form prices for artists' works that meet the realities of the current economic situation and makes the art market more open and democratic.
