On July 18, Anna Brandush, a resident of the third season of Open Studios, will give a lecture on the difference between cinema and video art.

How to understand: a movie in front of you or video art? Is the main difference where the work is shown (in a movie theater or museum), or are there signs of film and video art that are embedded within the work itself?

Why is it often taught to make movies in the departments of video art of contemporary art schools, and is there a fundamental difference?

No one has yet given a clear answer to these questions, so Anna Brandush decided to answer them herself.

During the discussion lecture, fragments of film and video works of different times will be shown.

The lecture will be held in the lecture hall of the Open Studios. Admission is free without registration.
