'Everything will be fine'

Dmitry Vasilievich Rakitin, pseudonym DIMA, was born on May 28, 1961 in Moscow in the family of art historians. Received art education at home. Since the end of 1985 he lived in Germany. Last years he lives in Paris.

The works of the artist DIMA were exhibited at international art fairs: Art Colon, Cologne; Art Hamburg; FIAK, Paris, Art Basel; Kuntmesse, Frankfurt am Main; Arco Madrid. Works are in private collections in Russia, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, France, Italy, the USA, Greece, in the collections of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, the Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, the New Jerusalem Museum of Art, art museums of Arkhangelsk, Tver, Tula, Yaroslavl. Participated in twenty personal and fifteen collective exhibitions in Russia and abroad. The artist DIMA does not speak much, but loves to write and often enters texts into his paintings. "Everything will be fine," one of his paintings is called, and so is his exhibition in Totibadze's gallery at Winzavod. "Everything will be fine" is not just words .This is the conviction and the artist's spell.
