Triangle Gallery is pleased to present "Timeless", the new video by Sasha Pirogova and Marina Fridman. Opening reception September 6 at 19:00. Until October 16 2021.
Sasha Pirogova and Marina Fridman work in a creative collaboration, which got its start in the video work "Garden", which represented the Russian pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017.
Sasha Pirogova (b.1986, lives and works in Moscow) is a video artist who uses metaphorical language of body and movement. Becoming Master of Physics, she continued to develop in the field of contemporary dance and fr om where moved into visual art. The artist's video were presented at the Venice Biennale, Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow), Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma (Helsinki), performances were shown at Whitechapel Gallery (London) and at The Art Newspaper Russia Award, performative workshops were held at the ImPulsTanz Festival (Vienna) and Tate Modern (London) etc.
Marina Fridman is a writer and unique psychotherapist, an author of the reality transformation technology. Due to the fusion of two different approaches in addition to its unconditional artistic value the created material has a powerful therapeutic effect. In fact, all participants of the process including viewers become authors of the work. It is created in a way that people's perception is optimised while watching the piece which is essentially a novation.
The video 'Timeless' created in 2020 was conceived as a natural continuation of the Garden and first was shown at the VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art. At the moment Sasha Pirogova and Marina Fridman are working on a new video work, which is the next step in this cycle.

"Creating this work, we wanted to support people during a very tough period of time and to show the most important thing that everyone desperately needs. There was the one and only exceptional word which came to our mind – LOVE. The work is about love. This great feeling permeates every moment of it. We hope that what you see will have a powerful, life-affirming impact on your life and will change it for the better. At any rate, we have done our best to make it so. What saves us at all times? Love. What is the most desirable and necessary feeling? Love. What is the cure for all diseases? Love. Since love is always bigger than fear, it is above any doubt. Love is like air. When we have it just enough, and the "air" is clean and transparent, we do not notice it. When we begin to "suffocate", we immediately understand that love is priceless. Our work reveals that everything we keep looking for outside in fact is inside us, and that the main miracle - the source - is inside everyone. This source is very unique because it emerges inside us to belong to everyone! When it happens — all hearts unite into the one, wh ere a hymn to this great feeling sounds." — Marina Fridman
