<500> METERS_ONLINE

Luda Kalinichenko
<500> METERS_ONLINE

Exhibition of the artist Lyuda Kalinichenko <500> METERS_ONLINE will open on the site of the young art START CCA Winzavod April 24. The installation is represented by art objects, digital and printed images. In the center of the exposition — a 16-meter canvas, collected from the printed waste frames.

The artist Lyuda Kalinichenko became a participant of the START project following the results of the portfolio-review in Yekaterinburg. The START project regularly conducts open reviews of works by young authors in various regions of Russia to search for and identify new names and talents.

In her installation Luda reflects on the phenomenon of garbage — the physical trace left by a person in the real world. For several years, the artist has been collecting the waste that she accumulated during her time spent online.

The main object of the exhibition is a 16-meter canvas made from printed images of household waste. The exposition is supplemented with digital and printed images and art objects.

Vera Trachtenberg, curator: "The project <500> METERS_ONLINE is a kind of corridor, built by Lyuda Kalinichenko between reality and virtuality. The time spent by the artist online, becomes a documentation of images of "waste" and becomes a real natural landscape - a stream of images 500 meters long. Thus, in the discursive post-no art model, it creates a link between the real and the virtual, doing what we usually do not pay attention to is the key element of the exposition. It is important to note that the problem of accumulating domestic garbage on our planet is becoming more and more frightening, which gives the exhibition one more aspect of relevance."

Lyuda Kalinichenko, artist: "Two years ago, starting this project, I set out to show my presence in two spaces simultaneously, I wanted to bring a new unit of measurement of my state. Now, I came to the fact that the importance of this project is for me in the action itself. Through him, I became real and against the backdrop of total artistry was established as an artist."
